I've been pretty busy with work... "join the army," they said, "see the world, they said." Bah... on the bright-side, I'll be home in a couple months, and not long after that... I'll be free to finally lead my own life, with my family, into a future without the instability of the military.
But, last night I went back to my living area, and was sitting around, playing with my music on my laptopt/external drive (combined they make up my library... if not combined, I have to break apart the library in half), when it occurred to me how so many songs mean something to me.
So what I think is... I have a soundtrack in my life... heck, I think EVERYONE has a soundtrack, and some of them don't even know it. I think everyone knows there's one song that really gets them, that is him or her (or if you're a cat reading this... a warm meow to you).
Or maybe there are facets... several songs that make up the pieces of each persons life... for instance, certain songs right now would mean more to me than others. Patriotic songs stir me more now than they would have in the past.
So here's a thought... think of a song that you really like... think of how it makes you feel and if it is you... think about how this song totally got you, either back when you first heard it or right now.
Here's my example, since it would be unfair for me to ask all of you to do it without showing you I didn't think about a song at all. Robbie Williams' (not Robin, Robbie... some of you might know the British Pop Singer, some may not) "Feel." This song really got to me shortly before I knew my wife. Because it WAS me. When I was searching for my little piece of heaven. I wanted to feel someone who loved me as much as I loved them, but I was deathly afraid of living my life. Now, I'm not that person... but that song was a facet of me... a sliver in the sountrack of my life (pardon me for quoting another album title that I can't remember right now).
We all have a sountrack... and yes, there will be sad songs, and there will be happy songs. Hope keeps us moving on, misery shuts us down. But our lives are what we make of them, and the soundtrack of our individuality means that there's someone out there who is listening to that exact song and feeling the music like you are.
So until next time, control the pet population by having your pets spayed and neutered.

She came at me in sections -- more curves than a scenic railway. She was bad. She was dangerous. I wouldn't trust her any farther than I could throw her. She was selling hard, but I wasn't buying.~ Tony Hunter
